Amaranth leaves(Choulai Saag) are a good source of nutrition and this is a healthy snack made out of it.Tasty and healthy too.
Ingredients
- Choulai Saag ( Amaranth leaves) – 100 grams
- Besan – 50 grams
- Salt – to taste
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion – 1 piece chopped
- Garlic – 1 piece chopped
- Water – 5 ml
- Baking soda – 1/4 teaspoon
- Oil – for deep frying
Procedure
- Wash the Choulai Saag and chop into medium size.Boil it in the cooker for 4 whistles.
- Let it cool down.
- Drain out the water.
- Take a large bowl and add Besan, salt, red chilli powder, baking soda ,onion,garlic, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and water.
- Make a thick pakoda consistency mixture.
- Add the boiled Choulai Saag to the mixture.
- Mix well.
- Now take a spoonful of the mixture and add to kathai for deep fry.
- Fry till golden brown.
- Serve Choulai Saag ke Pakode hot with Green Coriander Chutney or Tomato sauce.
