It is a very unique dish made with Summer Special Vegetable fruit Kathal or Jackfruit. Crispy crunchy Kathal ke Pakode is a show-stopper in terms of taste.Unputdownable you will only crave for more.
Ingredients
- Jackfruit/kathal – 100 grams
- Besan – 50 grams
- Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – to taste
- Water – 10 ml
- Oil – for deep frying
- Cooking time – 30 minutes
- Serving – 2 persons
Procedure
- Cut the Kathal in very thin pieces.Apply oil in fingers to cut kathal as it gives out sticky gum while cutting.
- Wash the pieces properly with water.Keep aside.
- Take a large bowl and add Besan,salt, water and red chilli powder.
- Make a pakoda consistency mixture.
- Now take the cut pieces of kathal and dip in the mixture.
- Deep fry in kathai for 3-4 minutes for a well cooked pakoda.Kathal takes time to cook.
- Serve Hot with Green chutney or Tomato sauce.
