Masala chana is an excellent high protein content and healthy breakfast option. It is good in taste, spicy in flavor and extremely easy to prepare.
Ingredients
- Kale chane (Black Chickpeas) -100 grams
- Onion – 1piece
- Green chilli – 1 piece
- Tomato – 1 piece
- Chat masala – 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil – 1 teaspoon
- Hing(asafoetida) – 1/4 teaspoon
- Zeera(cumin seeds )- 1/2 teaspoon
- Sabut lal mirch(red chili whole) – 1piece
- Lemon juice – 2 teaspoon
Procedure
- Kale chane needs to be soaked for at least 4 to 5 hours or overnight.
- It is then boiled in the pressure cooker with 8-10 whistles at least.
- Take a Kadhai and add oil, Hing and sabut zeera and sabut Lal mirch for tempering.
- To this add chopped onion, green chili and tomatoes and sauté for about 5 minutes .
- Add boiled kale chane to this mixture.
- Finally add a tinge of chat masala and lemon juice.
- Garnish the dish with chopped green coriander.
